This team has been on an unbelievable run. Douglas McKenzie won every sprint in Norway on the way to a Green Jersey and the highest point score in the competition ever. Though all the accolades go to McKenzie, he is very quick to thank his team. "This field was tough especially with Otto Landa in top form and a very strong Elijah Rogasch that is an up and comer in the sprinting ranks. I had good days throughout the tour but my team was excellent. Oaks, Locks, Lehel, Gumy, and Vest made up the perfect team to deliver me every day to the line in the best position. Heck in the final leadup in Oslo Gumy was going so fast I thought I wouldnt be able to pass him. I was estatic to see him get a result for all his hard earned work."
When talking with Armstrong after the tour, he lead with this. "Here at Grant Thornton we pride ourselves at being one of the best in the team aspect of the sprinting races. We have taken a long time to assemble this team to become a recognized leadout train capable of delivering our man to the line time and again. Everyone has there own job and they stick to it which allows us to achieve this great success."
The first race after the tour was Birmingham - Shrewsbury and the team continued its hot streak as a field full of sprinters could not stop them from finishing first again. So here the team stands at day 42 of the season and they have already had the second best point total in the history of the team. And a finish of third or better in Rotterdam Classic could result in the team reaching Zyte Division for the first time in team history! The future is very bright here. And with 2 possible trainees on the roster it is looking up.
